One method of gaining access to the system is by trying hard to remember the forgotten password, or a password of another user which has the same level of administrative rights. However I don't think this approach will help you, otherwise you wouldn't be sitting here reading article, would you?)

Another method is by trying to restore a backed up System State (in Windows 2000/XP/2003) or a ERD (in NT 4.0) in which you do remember the password. The problem with doing so is that you'll probably lose all of the recently add users and groups, and all the changed passwords for all of your users since the last backup was made.

Note: If you are looking for password cracking tools that can be used for miscellaneous objectives such as password-protected PDF documents, zipped archives, Office documents, BIOS protection and so on then this pages is NOT for you. PSP have updated the PSP MixPack to v1.8.3, including Audio Units versions for OS X and RTAS for OS X and Windows. The update is free for current owners of the PSP MixPack v1.7, and any one who bought any version of the MixPack after 1st January 2004.

Changes:

Audio processing:

  • PSP MixBass, PSP MixPressor and PSP MixTreble produce 1023 samples of internal latency at all sample rates. This latency is compensated in most of modern audio applications.

GUI:

  • Integrated factory and A/B preset bar.

Compatibility:

  • VST, DX and new RTAS (for Mac OSX and PC) and AudioUnit (for Mac OSX) versions included.
  • Several VST compatibility and other bugs removed.

Known problems:

  • Presets written with previous versions of the MixPack plug-ins will not properly load in v1.7 and v1.8 because a stereo-mono switch was removed from parameter list and preset system was changed.
  • Some audio applications including Protools LE doesn't compensate internal plug-ins' latency.

After reading through some of the reviews there seems to be some confusion about the book which I assume only comes if you are buying the item online. The tagline for the title is "Learn indispensable tactics for building solid, secure, and maintainable ASP.NET 2.0 applications using Visual Basic 2005." It's fairly difficult to read the tagline on the book unless you magnify the image, so know that the code is written in VB.NET. But if you program in C# you should have no problem picking up the concepts and following the code discussions in the book.

Inside the book you will find discussions and code regarding various aspects of web application programming that come up in just about every project. It is not a book specifically for "beginners" because I assume you have some familiarity with development in ASP.NET using VB.NET.
